Q. Should I pay tips in Russia?
A. Tips are welcome in Russia. You may pay tips to guide, driver of taxi or water at a restaurant. The amount of tips is up to you, generally 5-10%.

Q.
How can I get a medicine services in Russia and should I have insurance?
A. Moscow and St. Petersburg have a number of medical centers. If you have a serious problem when in either of these cities, we recommend that you use their services. Be aware that these clinics charge Western prices or may be even more expensive than your typical Western hospital or clinic. Some of them may accept your insurance but most will not, therefore, it is best to keep all bills that you have paid and submit them to your insurance company. It also is highly recommended to purchase travel insurance for your trip just to make sure that you will be covered.

Q.
If public toilets are available in Russia?
A. There are very few public toilets in Russia. Usually you can find them in some parks or on certain streets but there really aren't many. It is much more practical to use bathrooms in hotels, cafes or restaurants than to run around and look for public toilets, and better yet they are free. Places like MacDonalds are particularly good. Just walk inside and go straight to the toilet without asking anyone.
